Local Author Talk with Eveline MacDougall In-Person
The Greenfield Public Library is pleased to welcome local author Eveline MacDougall on Tuesday, November 12 at 6:30 pm in the library’s Community Meeting Room. Pre-program music will start at 6:15!
Eveline MacDougall is the author of Fiery Hope and the founder and director of the Amandla and Fiery Hope choruses. She's a multi-instrumentalist, music teacher, journalist, visual artist, community gardener, and mom. MacDougall's work has brought her into artistic partnerships with folk singer Pete Seeger, gospel music expert Dr. Horace Clarence Boyer, right livelihood advocates Wally and Juanita Nelson, songwriter Fred Small, and poet Martin Espada. She has collaborated with South African luminary Nelson Mandela, union organizer Cesar Chavez, education activist Malala Yousafzai, and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
MacDougall's presentation will include vignettes that have occurred since the publication of her book, as well as musical selections featuring world-renowned musician John Clark on French horn and electric bass, Gillis MacDougall on guitar, and members of the Fiery Hope chorus.
