Local Author Talk -- Richie Davis In-Person
The Greenfield Public Library is pleased to welcome local author Richie Davis on Wednesday December 4 at 6:30 pm in the library’s Community Meeting Room. Davis, a retired reporter and editor at The Greenfield Recorder for more than four decades, will read from his trilogy of collected favorite feature stories about heroes and wonders in our midst ... from around Franklin County, the Pioneer Valley and beyond.
Richie, who was an editor at Genesee Valley Newspapers in suburban Rochester, N.Y. before coming to the Recorder in 1976, also served as arts and Weekend section editor at the Springfield Newspapers. He received more than 35 awards for articles at the Recorder, where he covered energy, the environment and a host of other beats before retiring in 2019.
Richie also plays percussion, specializing in klezmer, Sephardic, Greek and other traditions. His website is RichieDavis.Net
His three books -- Inner Landscapes, Good Will & Ice Cream, and Flights of Fancy, Souls of Grace, will be available for purchase at the event.
