GPL Film Fest: The Day the Earth Stood Still In-Person
The Greenfield Public Library invites the community to step back in time and explore the thrilling world of 1950s science fiction with its upcoming film festival, "Lost in Space: A Retro Sci-Fi Film Fest!"
"The Day the Earth Stood Still" (1950)
A spaceship lands in Washington, D.C., capturing the world's attention. But the alien emissary (Michael Rennie) it brings refuses to reveal his mission to any single government, leaving the military, the politicians, and millions of ordinary people to wait in fear.
For more information, contact Jeremiah Rood at jeremiah.rood@greenfield-ma.gov, or call (413) 772-1544.
The festival, generously sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, so early arrival is recommended. Refreshments will be served.
