Members of Stavros Center for Independent Living will be at the Greenfield Public Library to provide information and answer questions about their programs. dedicated to helping people with disabilities and Deaf people live as independently as possible.
Stavros Center for Independent Living in Amherst, MA, is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities and Deaf people live as independently as possible. They believe in self-empowerment and that everyone has the right to live life on their own terms.
Stavros offers a variety of services, including peer counseling, skills training, and advocacy. They can help you with things like finding accessible housing, getting the right healthcare, or transitioning from a nursing home back into the community. They also offer a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) program, which helps people with disabilities hire personal assistants to live at home.
